Working on STEM advocacy and engineering communication, specifically for young women of diverse backgrounds. Currently looking to connect with students/professionals in Ireland's space industry and contribute to its near-future growth.

My aerospace journey began in August 2012, with Curiosity's graceful landing on Mars. The mission control room at JPL was bursting with so much excitement that I could almost feel it through my laptop screen 5000 miles away. Just a few weeks prior, Dr. Charles Bolden (then-administrator of NASA) had delivered a lecture at my alma-mater Trinity College Dublin. He spoke about Mars 2020 and the future of human space exploration, with the same level of infectious excitement as JPL's engineers on landing day.

Over the next several years, I kept my sights on the aerospace industry while working through academic milestones in high school and college. My background in Mechanical Engineering provided a broad, diverse foundation of understanding and applying technical concepts. I am now eager to channel this into a career as an active player and future leader of R&D in space exploration and advanced aviation technologies. I strongly believe that investing in the effective and sustainable development of the aerospace industry will be a major enabler of positive change in our world.
Leadership & Management
Experienced in leading projects across multiple engineering disciplines and other areas, with culturally diverse teams
Project and team management skills including WBS/Gantt scheduling, conflict resolution, relationship and network building
I focus on positive encouragement, empathy, constructive feedback, accountability, and inclusive brainstorming
Technical Skills
Computational modeling (CAD and FEA) through Solidworks, ANSYS, AutoCAD, Ricardo SABR, CREO, MADYM
Working knowledge of MATLAB, Python, R and HTML/CSS, plus data analysis through Excel and JMP
Systems engineering and risk analysis in aircraft design and other interdisciplinary projects
Engineering analysis/optimization of mechanical, structural, thermal, solid and fluid systems
Transferable Skills
Technical writing on literature reviews, project reports, and research proposals (EU H2020 experience)
Presenting/communicating technical work and advocating STEM to audiences diverse in age, culture and background
Application of creative problem solving and self-motivation to succeed in both academic and industrial experiences
